 Post subject: JANUARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS MINUTES

BOD in attendance: Scott R, Dexter, Neil, Rich, Corey and Duke
Meeting place was Chambers in Spencer Indiana @ 6pm
Meeting called to Order @ 6:45pm

This meetings agenda only covered two topics, do to the necessity to iron out alot information and a plan for the upcoming "ATV RIDE FOR RILEY". As spelled out in past meeting minutes, TRA will be hosting a Charity ride for Riley Hospital for Children in May of 2010, held at LCRP, with the help of ABATE of Indiana.

2010 CHARITY RIDE:

1. ABATE has been contacted, like the idea but need a plan put into writing and presented to them.
2. work is being done on a disclaimer for TRA, to help lift liability during the event, however many more things need to be determined and covered.
3. Events for the ride will be as follows: 2 am rides, one a possible road ride, and one on park trail ride. Lunch tickets sold for meal midway. 2 pm rides, one road ride and one on park ride. Each ride will be in conjunction with an organized poker run. All hands dealt will all be part of one poker event, not 4 seperate games.
4. A grand prize and several smaller prizes will be handed out.
5. Duke is contacting Lawerence County board of Health to look into any permits if necessary for food services.
6. Rides will not be "guided" but rather a "follow me mentality", this will help aleviate some liability.
7. Corey is in charge of contacting local dealerships for prizes.

8. FEE'S: Tenatively $20 for rider, and $10 for a passenger. Food tickets $5
9. Looking at Hamburgers/hotdogs, chips, drink and cookie for one ticket
10. Looking into DNR registration for ATV's, is it a necessity on public roads. More to follow
11. Need everyone to help out, ride leaders, food preparation, booths etc.....

12. Designated duties:
Dexter- Contact sherrif about road ride, post topic on TRA forum, prepare flyers
Neil- ABATE connection
Scott R- DNR concerning registration of special event
Corey- Prizes and donations
Duke- Board of Health Permits
Wives- Food booth, and food preparations

In conjunction we will need more volunteers, and any member who can come for the weekend to help would be greatly appreciated.

13. March ride @ LCRP will be a dry run and route planning weekend.
14. Event staff will wear high vis. vests.

TRAIL ADOPTION:
1. Still waiting on our signs to be made, emails and phone calls have been made to Shawn of the DNR.
2. Trail walk new date is possibly this Sunday, more to follow.

OTHER BUISNESS
1. Dexter brought in a couple sample caps, they looked great place orders with him
2. Treasury report will be posted soon.
3. Continue to tell friends and others about TRA and our upcoming rides and events
4. Corey would like to see Hooters Girls there handing out Chicken Wings :14

Thanks Corey for posting. I was not able to get off of work.(Go in late) Sounds like a lot got done and good start on planning for ATV RIDE FOR RILEY.
